Effects of the BP spill on Belleair Beach

There have been absolutely no signs of oil in the water or on the beach, and there has been no
sign of foul odors in the air or tar balls washing ashore.

According to the NOAA map below, in the unlikely event that oil from the spill were to move south of Panama City, Fl. (which is 420 miles north of Belleair Beach)

there is only a 1% to 20% chance that the oil from the BP spill will come within 20 miles of the shoreline in Belleair Beach.
