Katrina Relief Donations

As a business owner two of my top concerns are bringing New Orleanians back home and back to work. At the same time, it is imperative that we focus on reviving and preserving the unique spirit and culture of a city that means so much to both natives and visitors alike.

While there are many worthy causes to support and even more organizations collecting and distributing the necessary funding, there are four groups my friends and I have been especially interested in due to the nature of the assistance they provide;
potential home ownership and support of New Orleans musicians, their families and their work.

When making a decision to volunteer either time or money to this end, I urge you to consider these options:

Habitat for Humanity Home Delivery program

There are extraordinary costs to responding to a disaster of this magnitude, and funding is vital.

Your donation will help ensure that building continues and families' needs are served. Also, the donation of your time is invaluable.

Immediate volunteers will be needed for "pre-building" in the coming weeks and months and more volunteers will be needed months and years down the road for permanent rebuilding throughout the Gulf Coast.

New Orleans Musicians Hurricane Relief Fund

NOMH is dedicated to aiding New Orleans musicians affected by Hurricane Katrina. Many musicians have lost their homes, their instruments, and their livelihoods.

Donations will be distributed directly to those in need.

To help WWOZ rebuild

Temporary and then permanent new facilities are needed. Please make a donation by becoming a WWOZ member
